The Physiotherapy Department students’ team achieves a well-deserved victory over the Dep. of Dental Technology students’ team.

The match was held on Monday, 2/2/2026, as part of the internal football league at Cihan University – Erbil.

In the second stage of the competition, the Physiotherapy Department team faced the Dental Technology team, with both teams having won their previous matches and qualified for this round. This led both sides to enter the match with high morale and strong readiness.

Despite the fatigue shown by the Physiotherapy team due to their previous match, they appeared well-organized from the very beginning, starting the game with a balanced tactical approach in both defense and attack. After several attacking attempts, they succeeded in scoring the opening goal, adding more intensity and momentum to the match.

The Physiotherapy team’s strikes continued to shine, scoring a second goal with excellent skill and an outstanding individual effort. On the other hand, the Dental Technology team’s strikers struggled to reach the opponent’s goal due to the strong and solid defensive line of the Physiotherapy team, bringing the first half to an end with this score.

In the second half, both teams reorganized their lines. The Dental Technology team showed greater urgency in trying to reduce the score line, while the Physiotherapy team played more calmly and confidently, relying on counterattacks and benefiting from the speed of their forwards. This resulted in two consecutive goals in the middle of the second half, effectively deciding the outcome of the match.

In the final minutes, the Physiotherapy Department students’ team scored the fifth and final goal, securing a comprehensive victory that qualified them for the next stage of the tournament.
