The President of Cihan University – Erbil Meets a Delegation from Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International Institution
In order to establish and develop scientific and academic relations with Cihan University – Erbil, and to set up training courses, a delegation from (Talal Abu Ghazaleh Global Organization for Professional and Educational Services) – the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is visiting Cihan University – Erbil.
On Sunday 26th of December 2021, the President of Cihan University-Erbil, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi met a delegation from Talal Abu-Ghazaleh international institution for Professional and Educational Services headed by Mr. Hamza Al-Arabiyat, the executive director of the institution and Mr. Zaher Al-Halafat. The meeting was also attended by vice president of the university for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Maysoon Al-Haidari, and the vice President of the University for Administrative and Student Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Sattar Karim Saeed.
During the meeting, the two sides talked about the possibility of achieving cooperation between Cihan University – Erbil and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation through the exchange of scientific and academic experiences, as well as cooperation in scientific activities such as scientific conferences and professional training courses in the field of higher education that achieve services at the level of students, the university and the community.
At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, gave a brief overview of Cihan University – Erbil, and said that Cihan University – Erbil is the first private university in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. On the other hand, the president of Cihan University spoke about the development of the university quantitatively and qualitatively since its establishment in 2007 until now. After that, he talked about the scientific relations between Cihan University – Erbil with other reputable universities inside and outside Iraq, and briefly talked about the last scientific conference held by the university in the field of law and international relations with the Jordanian Jadara University.
On the other hand, Mr. Hamzah Al-Arabiyat, expressed his admiration for the quantitative and qualitative development at Cihan University – Erbil, and spoke about Talal Abu-Ghazaleh international Foundation and said that this institution has excellent experience in providing professional and training services, especially in the field of holding courses and training in various fields. and he hoped that this visit would be a step to build scientific and academic relations with Cihan University – Erbil, especially developing the skills and capabilities of teachers in the field of education.
