The Second Cohort of Cihan University-Erbil Students Departs for an International Training Course in the Czech Republic

As part of its ongoing international academic exchange programs aimed at enhancing student expertise, a second cohort of students from Cihan University-Erbil departed via Erbil International Airport for the Czech Republic on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The delegation, selected based on academic merit, includes: Mina Hussein Karim (3rd-year, Biomedical Sciences), Kamgar Sarhang Mustafa and Ismail Qadir Azzat (4th-year, Anesthesia Techniques), and Hardi Obaid Rafiq (Graduate, Community Health Nursing). The dispatch of this group reflects Cihan University-Erbil’s strategic vision of integrating academic knowledge with international practice and providing advanced field training opportunities for both students and graduates abroad.
During their week-long residency at the Palacký University campus, the students will participate in an intensive training course on “Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).” The curriculum focuses on the latest global standards for workplace and laboratory safety, equipping the participants with the specialized skills necessary for a successful transition into the competitive labor market. This initiative marks another significant milestone in Cihan University-Erbil’s efforts to strengthen scientific ties with world-class accredited universities.
This academic journey is conducted under the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Cihan University-Erbil and Palacký University Olomouc, one of the oldest and most prominent higher education institutions in the Czech Republic and Europe.
