The students of the Media Department visit Helin Radio

The head of the Media Department at Cihan University-Erbil continues to plan scientific visits for students in many academic subjects to closely familiarize them with the environment of various media and media sectors.

For this reason, on Monday, November 6, 2023, the second-stage students went on a scientific field trip to Helin Rdio in Erbil, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Dr. Sirwan Anwar.

Initially, the director of Helin Radio, Shaima Mustafa, together with the head of Helin Radio, Naska Saeed, and the director of capacity building, Ms. Zohayla, extended a cordial greeting to the supervising instructors and students. They gave a quick overview of the radio’s history, mission, and message. They also talked about how to create radio programs and run the station.

The students then visited the technical and studio sections of the radio station to gain a thorough understanding of how to carry out their work. They also became acquainted with the work and programs of Helin Radio, so department officials gave students detailed instructions on how to control the studio voice transmission and set up the presenters’ and directors’ relationship with their social media work.

Lastly, Assistant Professor Dr. Sirwan Anwar expressed gratitude to the staff and director of Helin Radio on behalf of the head of the Media Department at Cihan University- Erbil for giving their students this chance.
