Translation Department Students Visited Hevar International School

The Translation Department at Cihan University-Erbil organized a scientific visit for its third-year students to Hevar International School on Sunday, February 2, 2025, supervised by Assistant Lecturer Imadin Maged Zannrni. The visit aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge of modern teaching methods and labor market requirements in the academic field.

Principal Miss. Vian Marwan and Mr. Radwan Baban welcomed the students. Principal Miss. Vian then gave a detailed explanation of the mechanism of international schools, the Cambridge examination system, the importance of this system in preparing students for a distinguished academic future, and how Hevar International School differs from other international schools. She also talked about the role of technology and AI tools in the educational process, and the most prominent challenges facing teachers in international schools.

During the visit, the students asked various questions about the employment criteria in international schools and the labor market requirements in the field of teaching.  Director Vian provided valuable answers and comments on the basic skills that future teachers should possess, such as linguistic proficiency, the use of modern educational methods, and effective communication with students from different cultural backgrounds. They also attended several teachers’ lessons to connect theory with practice and enhance their self-confidence.

At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude for this opportunity that enabled them to gain practical knowledge about the teaching environment in international schools, while the school administration praised the students’ interaction and enthusiasm to develop their skills in preparation for meeting the labor market requirements.
