Two Students from the Informatics and Software Engineering Department Gave Awareness Presentations on Cybersecurity

As part of awareness efforts to promote digital culture among students, two students from the Informatics and Software Engineering Department at Cihan University-Erbil gave valuable presentations on Cybersecurity and the Importance of Protecting Devices from Electronic Risks on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Student Nazho Nihru gave a detailed presentation on electronic protection and the risks resulting from cyber threats, highlighting the hacking methods, cyber-attacks, and ways to prevent them while providing practical advice for protecting personal data.

Later, student Dima Sarkot, in her presentation, discussed the importance of computer protection and the best programs used to combat viruses, reviewing the advantages and disadvantages of various protection programs, and providing recommendations for choosing the most appropriate security solutions for users.

This activity depicted positive interaction from the students, as their presentations sparked fruitful discussions on cyber awareness and best practices for protecting personal information. This initiative comes within the framework of Cihan University’s efforts to enhance the digital skills of its students and keep pace with technological developments.
