World Englishes & The Spread of English

      Dr.Dana ,staff member of the department of English ,presented a seminar entitled” World Englishes & The Spread of English” with the attendance of some lecturers and students.The seminar was mainly about the predominance of English as a global language of communication and the emergence of different forms of the language all over the world. Dr Dana also mentioned different social and linguistic factors as reasons behind the appearance of different variations of English.The attendance found the topic interesting and raised several questions related to it.
