‘A Cancer Awareness Workshop’ Organized by the Biomedical Sciences Department

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the Biomedical Sciences Department, under the supervision of its Head of the Department, organized a powerful Cancer Awareness Workshop at Cihan University-Erbil. The aim was to educate and empower the community in the fight against this widespread disease. The event featured renowned oncologist Dr. Hana Rizgar Muhammed, who delivered an informative presentation on various cancer types, risk factors, and early detection methods.

Adding a deeply personal touch to this workshop was Mr. Dler Teli, a cancer survivor who bravely shared his inspiring journey of battling and overcoming the disease. His heartfelt speech resonated with the audience, offering invaluable insights into the emotional and physical challenges faced by cancer patients.

Dr. Hana Rzgar’s presentation provided crucial knowledge, while Mr. Teli’s story instilled hope and strength within us. The workshop was followed by an interactive Q & A session, allowing participants to address their concerns and gain further clarification. The Biomedical Sciences Department remains committed to raising awareness and fostering a supportive community in the face of cancer. In the end, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented by the Head of the Biomedical Sciences Department to Dr. Hana Rizgar and Mr. Dler Teli.
