A Scientific Visit to Dedeman Hotel, Erbil for the Architectural Department Students
As part of the belief of Cihan University – Erbil in the importance of bridging the gap between practical experience and academic studies, the Department of Architecture organized a scientific visit to Dedeman Hotel in Erbil for its fourth-year students on Sunday (October 8th, 2023). During the visit, students examined various architectural spaces within the hotel that support the hotel design project, which falls under their Architectural Design V course, as supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Sana Omar and Professor Rashid Al-Samaraie.
Mr. Hersh Bakr Saleh and Mr. Amer Abdul Salam from the Administrative and Technical Department of the aforementioned hotel welcomed the students and took them on a tour inside the hotel, where the students learned about the design and implementation of such an important project. The students emphasized the significant academic and psychological impact of this diverse field visit, refining their architectural vision and critical perspective, which are essential for architectural engineering students in their various projects.
At the end of the tour, the professors and students expressed their warm thanks and appreciation to the hotel management for their welcome and cooperation. The hotel staff, in turn, praised Cihan University-Erbil for its prominent role in enhancing the educational process for students.
