A Student of Cihan University-Erbil in Warsaw Participates in a Scientific Activity of Harvard University Professor
Hajar Kanaan, a third-year student of the Physiotherapy Department of Cihan University-Erbil, participated in a scientific event that was organized for a Harvard University professor at Józef Piłsudski University in Warsaw.
During the event, Assistant Professor Dr. Sat Bir Singh Khalsa, a professor at Harvard University, a director of research at Harvard Medical School, and a neurologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, talked about “The Science and Research on Yoga for Stress, Resistance, and Burnout”. The presenter emphasized the application of medical science to treating people`s body and psyche. In this regard, the Cihan University-Erbil student mentioned “It was an important and valuable chance to listen to the views and opinions of such a great scientist. His views about natural sciences have considerably enriched my knowledge.
On the other hand, Hajar Kanaan and Mujtaba Sabah Abdulhassan, a student of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Cihan University-Erbil, passing their courses at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, collaboratively presented a paper on “Sustainable Food”. They mentioned China’s rich experience in this regard. According to them, this country has adopted various methods to reduce food waste and to increase the value of agricultural products in different sectors.
