A Visit to CMC Private Hospital, Erbil

On 8 February 2022 at 11.30 a.m., a group of the final year students under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Sana Omar from the Department of Architectural Engineering, Cihan University-Erbil organized an educational visit to CMC Private Hospital, Erbil as part of the ‘Design of General Hospitals’ course.

The objective of the visit was to provide these students with a fundamental knowledge on the various aspects of the design process involved prior to the commencement of the architectural design of this hospital project. This objective of the visit was met as the students were provided with an in-depth explanation about the hospital by one of the staff from the hospital management. This included crucial information about the hospital before it was constructed and established ranging from its architectural plans to its medical devices including all of its components, its various specialized sections and design methods.

This visit was certainly a great experience for these students!
