An Educational Seminar on Cloud Storage Was Delivered at Cihan University-Erbil

On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, third-year students Nourallah Fakhri and Dania Osama from the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering at Cihan University-Erbil, held an educational seminar for university students titled Cloud Storage Technologies, as part of a student initiative aimed at enhancing digital knowledge among students.

The seminar, which witnessed a wide attendance of students and faculty members, addressed the concepts of cloud storage and its importance in storing and managing data, in addition to the most prominent cloud services available, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. A practical explanation was also provided on ways to use these technologies effectively, highlighting security procedures and data protection in a cloud storage environment.

The participants expressed their great appreciation for the information provided, praising the organizing students’ efforts in transferring knowledge in an interactive and simplified manner. The seminar supervisors also stressed the importance of such initiatives that contribute to developing technical skills and enhancing practical understanding of modern technologies.

This activity comes within the framework of the Department of Software Engineering and Informatics’ efforts to support student activities and encourage collaborative learning, which enhances students’ capabilities and provides them with opportunities to learn about the latest developments in the field of digital technology.
