At Cihan University-Erbil, a seminar was presented on how to protect oneself from sexually transmitted diseases

On October 17, 2024, the students of the Department of Community Health Nursing, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Thamari Thankam, conducted a seminar and awareness activity titled “How to Protect Yourself from Sexually Transmitted Diseases in Society.”

During this event, the students were educated about sexually transmitted diseases and engaged in efforts to raise awareness within the community about these common health issues. Their goal was to protect society from the serious consequences of these diseases, which affect communities worldwide.

At the conclusion of the seminar, both participants and students expressed their satisfaction with the heightened social awareness generated by the event. They recognized this awareness as a crucial contemporary need and emphasized the importance of continuing such educational initiatives in the future.
