Biomedical Sciences Students Conduct a First Aid Awareness Seminar at Amin Zaki Mixed Primary School

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, a group of third-stage students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a first aid seminar at Amin Zaki Mixed Primary School in Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Bakhtawar Ziad Omar.

The students were warmly received by Mrs. Viyan Majeed Ramadhan, the Principal of the school. The seminar was held in the school library, where the students delivered an educational presentation to the pupils focusing on the fundamental principles of first aid. Special emphasis was placed on common emergency situations, particularly burns, cuts, and injuries. The presenters explained appropriate first-aid procedures and guided the pupils on how to respond effectively in such situations.

At the end of the seminar, the students distributed gifts to the pupils. Mrs. Viyan expressed her appreciation for the informative presentation and the students’ efforts in raising health awareness among the children. In turn, the students conveyed their gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage with the school community.
