Cihan University at the First Turkish-Arab Congress on Higher Education
Dr. Amjad Sabir, President of Cihan University in Erbil, has visited The first Turkish-Arab Congress on Higher Education started on Saturday 26, April, 2014. in Istanbul to seek cooperation in the field of higher education with universities of Turkey, where he met Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, prof. dr. Yunus Söylet(Istanbul university rector), prof Dr Funda
Sivrikaya şerifoğlu (Rector of Duze University) , Prof Dr. Hamit Okur ( Rector of Istanbul Medeniyet University) and Prof.Dr. Mehmet Sisman (Rector of Ataturk University). During the visit four agreements ware made with the main aims of encourage the research and educational approaches of both universities within the framework of their reciprocal interests and relations between Academic staff, Assistants, researchers, and students. As the following
1. Collaboration Agreement with Istanbul University
2. Collaboration Agreement with Istanbul Medeniyet University
3. Collaboration Agreement with Ataturk University
4. Collaboration Agreement with Duze University
At the end of the visit all parties expressed their satisfaction at the increasing cooperation between Cihan and Turkish Universities, and also their desire to expand it through the introduction of scientific and academic activities aimed at serving educational advancement in both sides.
“First Turkish-Arab Congress on Higher Education (TACHE 2014)” has been carried with a high number of participants from 15 countries and 145 Universities from Turkey, Sudan, Jordan, Palestine, Algeria, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, Libya, Tunis, Bahrein, Qatar and Somalia. The scientific program of the congress has been empowered by the speakers from Arab and Turk Universities and institutions.
