Cihan University–Erbil Concludes an Advanced Training Course in Finance and Accounting for Iraqi Ministry of Trade Employees
On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Cihan University–Erbil successfully concluded an advanced training course in finance and accounting for managers and employees of the Iraqi Ministry of Trade. The closing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Delawi, President of Cihan University–Erbil; Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Sattar Abdulkarim Saeed, Vice President of the University; several department heads; and Mr. Abdulrazzaq Hamid Abdulrazzaq, Assistant Director General of the General Directorate of Administration and Finance.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Assistant Professor Dr. Hawkar Qasim Pirdawd, Head of the Department of Business Administration, welcomed the guests and participants. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of the training course and its role in enhancing the participants’ knowledge and skills in finance and accounting.
Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Delawi then emphasized the importance of strengthening the University’s relationships with ministries and government institutions in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. He noted that the University continues to organize training courses for employees to enhance their knowledge and professional skills. He also announced that the training program would continue the following week with a session on Human Resource Management.
Mr. Abdulrazzaq Hamid Abdulrazzaq, Head of the Iraqi Ministry of Trade delegation, expressed his gratitude to Cihan University–Erbil for its warm welcome and for organizing the training course. He also expressed his pleasure that the University had been selected to host and deliver the program. He emphasized that such initiatives play an important role in strengthening cooperation between academic institutions, ministries, and other government institutions. Finally, he thanked the trainers for their efforts and praised their contributions to knowledge-sharing and the development of participants’ skills.
At the end of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Delawi, President of Cihan University–Erbil, presented certificates to the trainers and participants.
