Cihan University-Erbil initiates plans to send another group of students for studies in Poland
Cihan University-Erbil is actively preparing to send another group of students to Poland as part of its ongoing commitment to fostering international cooperation and academic exchange. This initiative stems from the memoranda of understanding signed between Cihan University-Erbil and various Polish universities.
On October 26, 2023, a committee responsible for interviewing and assessing students’ academic qualifications, led by Dr. Salih Mustafa Salih Zebari, Director of International Relations Office at Cihan University-Erbil, commenced the selection process for students who will undertake courses in Poland. The initial interviews were conducted with 25 students from the departments of Nutrition and Dietetics, Biomedical and Medical Microbiology. Subsequently, further interviews will be held with students from the departments of Community Health Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Chemical Analysis, as well as the College of Engineering and the College of Management and Financial Sciences. A total of 16 students will be chosen from these departments.
Once the selected students meet the academic criteria set by Cihan University-Erbil and Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, Poland, they will embark on their journey to Poland in February of the following year. Their aim is to complete a four-month course, aligning with Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to providing exceptional opportunities for students at various stages of their education. This initiative is designed to enhance their expertise, capabilities, and skills in their respective fields. Sending this group of students to Poland marks a significant milestone in their academic journey, enabling them to gain invaluable experience and sow the seeds for a prosperous future.
On May 8, 2023, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, led a delegation to Poland, where they visited Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW and met Prof. Dr. Michal Jerzy Zasada, President of the University. During this visit, they discussed the further expansion of scientific and academic collaborations between Cihan University-Erbil and Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, with a specific focus on the continued implementation of the joint agreement between the two institutions. In line with this decision, five other students from various departments, including Biomedical, Nutrition and Dietetics, Medical Microbiology, and Architectural Engineering, have already departed for Poland to pursue studies across multiple departments of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, SGGW, and are currently engaged in their educational pursuits.”
