Cihan University-Erbil organizes the Sixth Conference for Outstanding Students Graduation Projects
On Tuesday 7th of May 2024, Cihan University-Erbil held the sixth Scientific Conference for Outstanding Students Graduation Projects from various scientific departments of the university. The opening ceremony was attended by the president of the university professor Dr.Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi, the vice president of the university for administrative and student affairs, Dr. Abdul Sattar Kareem, the vice president of the university for scientific affairs, Dr. Ayad Hazem Hassan, deans of the colleges, heads of departments, and students from different academic stages.
The ceremony commenced with the national anthem and a minute of silence to honor the souls of the martyrs. Following that, Professor Dr. Amjad Sabir Al-Dalawi delivered a speech, expressing his pride in the distinguished research presented at the conference. He noted that these research endeavors and the conference itself are the fruits of four years of hard work, perseverance, and serious study. He emphasized that this conference is an important step for students who aspire to complete their postgraduate studies in the future as outstanding research achievements are crucial in the field of postgraduate studies and scientific research.
Professor Dr.Amjad affirmed that Cihan University-Erbil is one of the foremost universities that prioritizes scientific research in various fields. He highlighted its numerous scientific research publications in reputable international journals, as well as the presence of students who have published research in international fields.
Moreover, Prof. Dr.Amjad expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the students who participated with their research in this conference and to the professors who supervised the outstanding research and projects of the students.

Professor Dr.Amjad also emphasized that Cihan University-Erbil doors are open to all students and researchers who seek to conduct scientific research or complete their post-graduate studies in various fields. The university provides them with modern scientific laboratories that meet all their needs.
Professor Dr.Amjad also pointed out that Cihan University – Erbil is one of the leading universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan region, striving for internationalization rather than merely national-level achievements. Thus, the university continues to send its students to complete semesters at advanced universities in Poland. Last year, Cihan University-Erbil sent approximately 20 students from the departments of General Education and Business Administration to the University of Lodz. Currently, nine students are studying at the University of Warsaw for Life Sciences. Additionally, around 50 students will be sent to Poland in the coming academic year to complete a semester within their scientific specialties. Dr.Amjad added that all of these efforts are part of the university’s duty to prepare an outstanding generation capable of managing society in its various sectors, equipped with highly distinguished scientific, cognitive, and skillful abilities.
In conclusion, Professor Dr.Amjad thanked all those involved in organizing this conference in various committees contributing to its success. He also expressed gratitude to the students and supervisors who made outstanding efforts in completing their research and graduation projects. Later, the conference sessions for the first day commenced, and it is scheduled to continue for two days until Wednesday, the 8th of May 2024.
