Cihan University Erbil participates in a regional symposium in Amman

To discuss the environment and how to protect it, Cihan -University Erbil, as the only university in Kurdistan Region, is participating in a regional symposium.
On June 27 and 28, 2022, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Star Karim Saeed, assistant university president for administrative affairs and students, participated in a regional symposium organized by  The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The symposium, entitled “Protecting the Natural Environment from the Perspective of International Humanitarian Law and Islamic Law”, was held in Amman, the capital of Jordan’s Kingdom, for two days. Some scientific research on how to protect the environment was presented, as were some legal comparisons, particularly international humanitarian law and Islamic constitutional law.
In this context, Assistant Professor Dr. AbdulStar Karim Saeed effectively contributed to the issues by presenting his legal points according to Islamic law. Finally, after evaluating the opinions and suggestions, some points were identified as the conference’s recommendation to work on environmental protection in countries in the future.
