Cihan University-Erbil signs an agreement with the Middle Euphrates Polytechnic University
To exchange the field of science and achieve coordination and develop academic relations between them, Jihan University-Erbil signed an understanding agreement with the Middle Euphrates Polytechnic University.
On Thursday, March 10, 2022, professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalo, the president of Cihan University Erbil, led a delegation from Polytechnic University The middle university president, Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq al-Zuhiri, visited Erbil at the invitation of the President of Cihan University Erbil.
In a meeting, after the guest delegation was welcomed by Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalo, the president of Cihan Erbil University, discussed how to build scientific relations between the two sides, particularly in how to cooperate in the fields of science, culture, art, and administration.
In the beginning, the president of Cihan University-Erbil presented a brief about Cihan University Erbil to the guest delegation and stated: “Cihan University Erbil is the first private university at the level of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region”, in another part of his speech, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalo said: The first private university in the Kurdistan Region to open in 2007, it has seen extensive development in quantity and quality, which now owns seven colleges and twenty-three departments, and we are continuing our efforts. To open a medical college, particularly the departments of dentistry and pharmacist, he said, the mechanisms for opening departments and the process of receiving students are challenging and rely on a range of scientific principles and standards.
In the same meeting, dr. Abdul Satar Karim, assistant university president for administrative and student affairs, and Dr. Maison Haideri, assistant to the university’s president for science affairs, president of Cihan University-Erbil, some heads of scientific departments attended. Cihan University Erbil said that in terms of art and culture, our university has some institutions, centers, and cultural and artistic teams, and has a powerful sports infrastructure in terms of sports, in terms of science and medicine laboratories, many advanced laboratories, and We have a level, as well as scientific staff, our university has an elite of teachers and experienced experts, most of whom have received certificates from abroad, and in terms of quality reading,13 of our scientific departments have a certificate of trust from international institutions.
On the level of scientific relations, professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalo said: Our university has a broad network of scientific connections with local, Iraqi, regional and developed universities around the world, annually on the level of We are pleased to have thousands of graduates, many of whom now hold senior positions in separate parliament and government institutions.
In another part of the meeting, professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq al-Zuhiri, the president of The Middle Euphrates Polytechnic University, said: “We are pleased with this visit, and he explained that their policy of working is to open their university to the world’s universities, especially the universities of the Kurdistan Region.” For this purpose, we have signed agreements with polytechnic universities, revealing that their university, one of the four polytechnic universities in Iraq, oversees some institutes and technical colleges and expands their university borders to Five Provinces of Iraq, with 102 departments of science, award graduates diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, master’s and doctorates in technical science.
In another part of the speech, the president of the Middle Euphrates Polytechnic University talked about the steps taken to improve their university, particularly in the field of science and development in scientific relations, as he talked about their university’s environment and how to open the university’s science department, saying: “We will rely on market needs to be opened in any part of our university.”
Professor Muzaffar Sadiq al-Zuhiri devoted the final part of his speech to the advances in technology at their university, which they now rely on to run their affairs, and said he had expanded our steps to develop technology, especially and other parties. Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Dalo, and Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq al-Zuhiri, scientific staff, participation in workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences, holding conferences, and joint research between the scientific staff of both universities.
Then, in the VIP hall of Cihan University Erbil, in the presence of the president of Cihan Erbil University and the head of departments, two separate short films were screened about the Central Euphrates Polytechnic University.
At the last part of their visit, a delegation from the Middle Euphrates Polytechnic University accompanied by the President of Cihan University Erbil visited Cihan University, and they talked about a developed university, hoping that their visit and signing their agreement would be a crucial beginning for a brighter future of relations between them.
