Cihan University-Erbil Student Located in Poland Works on Waste Treatment in Iraq
At the Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland, a student of Cihan University-Erbil has worked on waste treatment in Iraq. This is done for the purpose of environmental protection.
On Monday (4/11/2024), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Magdalena Vaverkova, the project on waste management around the world was announced. This project aims at protecting and cleaning the environment in different countries. Being motivated by the visions of this project, Salman Marham Muhammad from the Department of Community Health Nursing of Cihan University-Erbil decided to work on the treatment of waste in Iraq. Salman stated that environmental protection is one of the world’s challenges nowadays, and various efforts are being made in different scientific fields to protect the environment. He inserted, “As Iraq is part of the global environment, and I am an international student in Poland, I have this chance to work with other international students on this project.”
Inside Kurdistan, students of Cihan University-Erbil have recently carried out several projects to protect the environment, especially participating in the tree-planting campaign. Likewise, they are eager enough to take part in international environmental protection and the university also supports them.
