Cihan University-Erbil Students Participate in a Specialized Scientific Course in Poland on the Language of Plants
On Thursday, March 26, 2026, as part of the international academic activities for Cihan University-Erbil students in Poland, a student delegation attended a specialized scientific course titled ‘Language of Plants’.
The course was held at the Department of Biotechnology at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) under the supervision of the internationally renowned expert, Professor Dr. Mohammed Kalaji. The participants included Abdullah Muthanna Abdulrazzaq Mohammed and Ahmed Jabbar Hassan Yousif, third-year students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University-Erbil, along with several international students.
During the sessions, students were introduced to the latest scientific findings on complex chemical interactions within plant cells. Professor Dr. Mohammed Kalaji provided a detailed explanation of how plants respond to environmental stressors and the methods used to interpret their physiological signals.
The program also included a significant practical component in the Biotechnology laboratories, where students received hands-on training in modern cultivation techniques aimed at promoting healthy plant growth and achieving high-quality yields.
The students from Cihan University-Erbil highlighted that this field experience offered a new perspective on the interdisciplinary connection between biotechnology and nutrition. They emphasized that this knowledge will play an important role in shaping their future scientific research projects.
