Cihan University-Erbil Students Participated in a Scientific Conference
A scientific conference on ‘Beekeeping and Sustainable Development for Agriculture’ was held at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). Representing the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Marek Cieselinski, Director at the Polish Ministry of Agriculture, attended the conference, along with numerous officials from various sectors of agriculture and rural development. The event featured a range of activities related to these fields.
The conference, which was held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, also involved the participation of Cihan University-Erbil students: Mujtaba Sabah Abdulhassan and Hajar Muhammad Ali from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Department of Physiotherapy, respectively. Prof. Dr. Michał Jerzy Zasada, the President of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW), delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of advancing the concept of sustainable development and the critical role it plays in establishing modern standards in this field. In another part of the conference, several high-level scientific studies in the fields of biology and advanced technologies related to agriculture and beekeeping were presented. While delivering a study titled ‘The Transformative Power of Bees – The Beat of Little Wings,’ Prof. Dr. Franciszek Kampka highlighted the essential functions of bees in the ecosystem and their significant contributions to maintaining biological balance.
On the sidelines of the conference, various agricultural products and innovations were showcased. In addition to participating in the scientific research presentations and discussions, the two students mentioned earlier visited the exhibition section, exploring agricultural products and innovations and gaining firsthand knowledge of the advancements in this field.
