Students of Cihan University-Erbil Take Part in the Sensory Examination Laboratory of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland
Cihan University-Erbil students, part of the student exchange agreement with Warsaw University of Life Sciences, have started their practical lessons in the university’s laboratories.
On Thursday (17/10/2024), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Michał Oczkowski, two students of Cihan University-Erbil including Paywand Pashtiwan Pusho from the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Salman Marham Mohammed from the Department of Community Health Nursing attended the laboratory of “Basic Anatomy and Physiology” within the campus of SGGW, and conducted a detailed physical examination of the senses. These experiments were designed to diagnose sensory impairments (of sight, hearing, and touch). While examining each sense, the students learned techniques of visual acuity testing, tuning fork tests for hearing, and sensory mapping for touch.
Such hands-on experience is crucial for students to develop diagnostic skills and to realize how human sensory systems work.
