Cihan University – Erbil, through the International Organization for Migration (IOM)is working on Training Students to be Employers
In order to support students with have special ideas and projects, Cihan University-Erbil in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM)and to implement ideas and projects and with the encouragement of the President of Cihan University-Erbil for students to build their future and take advantage of the opportunities available to them.
On Wednesday, 6/4/2022, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, and a number of heads of scientific departments, professors and students in the VIP hall at the university, the representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM)presented the details of their project.At the beginning, Mr. Ibrahim Salam from IOM gave a brief speech about their organization, its goals and their work to the attendees. Later, Mr. Saroud Bakhtiar spoke in detail about their project and the steps for applying and obtaining the grant. Moreover, he explained: The project is called (edf), and in the beginning it was in the city of Mosul, and now we have (1146) projects in (9) Iraqi governorates.
Because of this project, we have provided job opportunities for (5581) people. He said the content of the project is the implementation of the project and creative ideas by our organization. We support the submitted projects with an amount ranging from (10,000-30000) dollars, in which (1-10) people are appointed in the project.
On the other hand, he spoke about the details of the project’s submission, the conditions and instructions for obtaining the grant.In another aspect of the activity, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, after he thanked Kogi International Organization for choosing Cihan University – Erbil as the first university among universities for their project and said:Important business begins with a single step, and this financial support for students is an important opportunity to implement their projects and ideas. Because of this project, you have your own business and build your future. He said the certificate does not mean anything if you do not have skills, abilities and capabilities.
Today is the day for the students who have distinguished abilities and ideas, and we, as the university presidency, will form special committees in each department to support students and expand their aspirations to obtain this scholarship.In conclusion, the President of Cihan University – Erbil announced: We did not come only to present certificates, so we want to educate and train students, develop your abilities and skills, and guarantee your future so that you participate in building our country.
