College of Dentistry Students Participate in a Health Programme on Rudaw Media Network

On Thursday, 29 October 2026, a group of students from the College of Dentistry at Cihan University–Erbil, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Sawen Tahseen Taha Khoshnaw, participated in a health programme broadcast by Rudaw Media Network.

The participating group consisted of four second-stage dentistry students: Mohammed Khidhir Mohammed, Kavar Mohammed Karim, Bawi Khosrow Ahmed, and Awat Mustafa Ibrahim. They appeared on a programme hosted by Dr. Aras Bradosty, which focused on oral and dental health.

During the broadcast, Assistant Lecturer Sawen Tahseen Taha Khoshnaw presented scientific insights into the chemical composition of carpets, their potential effects on human health, and guidelines for selecting safe carpet materials. The discussion highlighted the differences between natural and synthetic carpets, their chemical properties, potential health risks, and important criteria for choosing non-hazardous products.

The television programme also featured interactive discussions and scientific questions addressing oral health, dental care, and preventive practices.
