Community Health Nursing Department Students Explored Pediatric Care Services at Raparin Teaching Hospital
On September 12, 2024, 4th-year Community Health Nursing Department students visited the Pediatric Department at Raparin Teaching Hospital to enhance their practical knowledge of pediatric nursing.
Under the guidance of Dr. Ayad Abdullah, the students explored several main sections, such as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, General Pediatrics Ward, Outpatient Clinic, Immunization Unit, and Pediatric Emergency Room. In addition, they observed the critical role nurses play in monitoring, administering treatments, educating families, and providing emotional support to young patients.
In the end, the students’ understanding of child-centered care was increased through the valuable insights into the multifaceted responsibilities of pediatric nurses that they gained from this visit.
