Conducting a Physiotherapy Training Course at Cihan University-Erbil
The President of Cihan University-Erbil emphasized the significance of physiotherapy, stressing the continuous need for physiotherapists to enhance their knowledge, especially in practical applications.
On Thursday, August 17, 2023, in the conference hall of Cihan University-Erbil, a ceremony marked the conclusion of the physiotherapy training course at Cihan University-Erbil. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, and Dr. Abdul Sttar Karim, vice president for Administrative and Student Affairs.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech from Assistant Lecturer Tanya Salam Salih, the Head of the Department of Physiotherapy. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, addressed the audience. He highlighted Cihan University-Erbil’s commitment to vocational courses and student training in addition to traditional university education. He mentioned that the university offers various specialized courses to students from different universities every year and expressed delight in the participation of students from universities across the Kurdistan Region.
The President of Cihan University-Erbil underscored the sensitivity of physiotherapy and the vital need for practitioners to continually enhance their knowledge, particularly in the practical aspects. He stressed the importance of thorough training as patients often rely on physiotherapists for immediate treatment, necessitating a deep understanding of the treatment process.
In the concluding segment of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi presented certificates of participation and graduation to each participant. The five-day physical therapy course, the third of its kind, saw the participation of 46 students from universities including Mosul, Garmian, Sulaimani, Raparin, Hawler Medical University, Cihan University-Erbil, and several others. The students received daily practical training and lessons.
