Department of Accounting Organized a Scientific Trip to the Join Pharma in Erbil

The Department of Accounting planned a scientific trip to Join Pharma to familiarize second-grade students with the latest accounting system.

On Monday, March 4, 2024, a group of second-year students from the Department of Accounting conducted a visit to Join Pharma, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Raz Azad Jalal. They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sahand Mohamed, an accountant at Join Pharma. The students received a briefing about the firm and its professional team, as well as the daily activities of the accounting department, such as reconciling cash and receipts, reviewing and reconciling transactions, recording and categorizing expenses, and reviewing employee timesheets.

Later, the students became familiar with the (Odoo) system and how this system has provided comprehensive solutions for various accounting needs while improving overall efficiency in financial management. Mr. Sahand Mohamed explained how (Odoo) automatically creates all the underlying journal entries for all accounting transactions, such as customer invoices, vendor bills, point-of-sale orders, expenses, and inventory valuations.
