Accounting Department Students Visit Sarwaran Bank, Erbil

On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, a group of third-year students from the Department of Accounting at Cihan University–Erbil conducted a scientific visit to Sarwaran Bank in Erbil under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ali Jalal Jalal.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Mr. Huner Sabir Aziz, Head of Accounting at Sarwaran Bank, who introduced them to the bank’s Accounting Department and explained its organizational structure, main responsibilities, and daily activities. He also provided an overview of the role of accounting in managing the bank’s financial operations and supporting its banking services.

During the visit, Mr. Huner also provided the students with valuable descriptions of the accounting procedures followed in the banking sector. He discussed how banking transactions are recorded, customer accounts are managed, deposits and withdrawals are processed, and financial records are maintained.

 He then explained the preparation of financial reports, monitoring of financial transactions, and the importance of internal control systems, accurate documentation, and compliance with banking regulations in ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective management of financial resources.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Ali expressed his sincere gratitude to Mr. Huner and the bank’s staff for their warm reception, cooperation, and valuable explanations.
