Department of Accounting Organized a Visit to the Erbil Girls’ Orphanage
On November 14, 2024, the Department of Accounting at Cihan University-Erbil organized a meaningful visit to the Erbil Girls’ Orphanage. This initiative involved a group of fourth-year Accounting Department students, who were accompanied and supervised by Assistant Lecturers Raz Azad Jalal and Ali Jalal. The visit was part of a broader effort to support vulnerable children in the community, particularly orphaned girls.
The visit’s primary objective was to assist the orphaned children by fulfilling their essential daily necessities. A total of 35 girls, aged 2 months to 16 years, were the beneficiaries of this outreach.
Upon arrival at the orphanage, Assistant Lecturers Raz Azad Jalal and Ali Jalal, and the students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Media Sadq Hamid, the manager of the orphanage. She expressed her gratitude for the visit and highlighted the importance of such support for the children. The students and faculty members were given a tour during the visit.
The students later distributed various items to the children, including clothes, cups, shoes, socks, shampoos, and wet wipes.
