Department of Accounting Students at Cihan University-Erbil Visit Erbil Governorate

On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the Department of Accounting at Cihan University-Erbil organized a scientific visit to the Erbil Governorate for second-year accounting students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ali Jalal Jaafar.

Upon arrival, the students were warmly received by Mr. Bashdar Yasen Perdawd, Manager of Quality Assurance at the Erbil Governorate.

 During the visit, Mr. Payam Sahde Ismahil, Head of Accounts, introduced the students to the main principles and procedures of governmental accounting. He explained the preparation and implementation of government budgets, the management of public revenues and expenditures, and the preparation of financial reports.

The students also learned how accounting information supports financial planning, monitoring, and decision-making within government institutions.

Furthermore, the students became familiar with official accounting documents, including payment orders, revenue vouchers, budget allocations, and financial records.

The visit also highlighted the importance of coordination among administrative departments, accounting units, and auditing bodies.

These practical explanations helped the students understand how proper accounting procedures promote financial transparency, accountability, and compliance with government regulations.

At the end of the visit, Assistant Lecturer Ali Jalal Jaafar expressed his sincere gratitude to the management and staff of the Erbil Governorate, particularly Mr. Bashdar Yasen Perdawd and Mr. Payam Sahde Ismahil, for their warm hospitality and valuable contributions.
