Department of Business Administration Organized a Volunteering Activity at the Nursery Home in Erbil

On Saturday, November 18, 2023, as part of the humanitarian and volunteering initiatives of the Department of Business Administration organized a volunteering activity to honor 100 residents at the Nursery Home in Erbil. This event was organized in close coordination with Mr. Sangar Jamal, the Director of the Erbil Nursery Home.

This charitable activity was preceded by many preparations in which the students and professors were actively participated through shopping and extensive preparations in the days preceding the activity, which reflects the great spirit of sympathy that the students have for the residents of the nursery home. This luncheon was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ms. Bushra Ali and the assistance of the Assistant Lecturer Ms.  Hevi Muhammad, and the direct supervision of the Head of the Business Administration Department, Dr. Hawkar Qasim Birdawod.

At the end of the visit, both the students and professors took a tour to visit the residents of the nursery home. During this visit, smiles of happiness and joy were drawn on the faces of the residents when the students and professors from the Department of Business Administration visited them.

On the other hand, both the students and the lecturers expressed their overwhelming happiness for being able to bring joy to the residents’ hearts, even if only for a short time. The visit concluded with a celebrative atmosphere in which both the students and the residents of the house participated by performing many folk and traditional songs.

It is worth mentioning that this charitable and volunteering activity is not the first for the Business Administration Department at the nursery home in Erbil, as it was preceded by many activities in previous years.
