Department of English Students’ Scientific Visit to Erbil Public Library–Zaytun

On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, fourth-stage students from the Department of English visited Erbil Public Library–Zaytun under the supervision of Lecturer Pola Tahseen Mohammad.

Upon their arrival, the students were warmly received by Mr. Nechirvan Farhad Yasin, an administrative staff member at the library. He explained that the library contains approximately 3,000 books covering a wide range of academic fields, available in several different languages.

During the visit, the students explored different sections of the library and received guidance from library officials on how to search for books and academic resources using the electronic search system. They were also introduced to different types of academic journals and learned about reference styles and proper citation methods for various sources, including books and journals.

This scientific visit served as an important step in enhancing the students’ academic skills, as they gained practical experience in research methods and citation while becoming familiar with the facilities and resources of Erbil Public Library–Zaytun.
