Department of Media Students Participated in a Course on Media Psychology and the Art of Etiquette
The Media Department at Cihan University – Erbil consistently fosters student development through various activities. In line with this commitment, a group of students participated in a course on media psychology and the art of etiquette, aiming to enhance their media abilities and skills.
The course, held on Thursday and Friday (15th and 16th February 2024), was coordinated with the Ibn Al-Mustafi Organization for Human Development (ISDO). Media and academic figures from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq actively contributed to the sessions, hosted at the conference hall of the Hanzo Plaza Hotel in Erbil. Dr. Nizar Kazali, a proficient media trainer, delivered the content with a balanced mix of theoretical and practical approaches, focusing on media psychology, etiquette, and body language.
On the second day, Assistant Lecturer Abeer Mahmoud Jabbar, the Head of the Media Department, actively participated, aiming to deepen her understanding of the course themes and evaluate student engagement.
Throughout the course, students demonstrated consistent active participation, sharing observations and posing questions. Their dedication resulted in the presentation of certificates endorsed by ISDO, marking the successful completion of the course.
Looking ahead, there are plans to organize additional media courses in collaboration with the Ibn Al-Mustafi Organization for Human Development. The department maintains a commitment to providing opportunities for continuous learning and skill development in the field of media.
