Department of Public Administration students visited Residency and Issuance of Visas for Foreigners in the Kurdistan Region

On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, students of the Department of Public Administration visited the third stage of the Department of Residency and Issuance of Visas for Foreigners in the Kurdistan Region. With the aim of exploring more government aspects and institutions that play a role in the life of society, the students arrived at the Residence and Visa Issuance Department to gain a deeper understanding of the process of registering foreigners and to know the requirements and procedures necessary to obtain a residence or visa in the governorate.

Mr. Brigadier General Kamel Muhammad Baqer / Director of the Department and his assistant officers gave a detailed explanation to the students about the procedures required to submit a residency application or obtain a visa for foreigners wishing to live, study or work in the governorate. The students were able to watch the order processing process and interact with the staff to ask questions and inquiries.

This visit was a valuable opportunity for students to understand the importance of immigration and residency procedures and their role in ensuring the daily life of foreigners in the province. You may also learn about the importance of security and auditing procedures to ensure the safety of the community and maintain order.
