Department of Public Administration students visited Erbil Governorate

On Tuesday, 16/5/2023. During the visit, the students were accompanied by the teacher, Mr. Muhammad Abdul-Karim Abdul-Wahhab met with Mr. (Hemin Ali Faki), Deputy Governor of Erbil, who gave a detailed explanation of the structure of the governorate and its administrative units from the city center, districts and sub-districts, the relationship of the governorate, its powers and connections with the relevant ministries and departments in the Kurdistan region, as well as taking a tour inside the governorate building and getting acquainted with the departments And the people of the province, as part of the extra-curricular activities of the Department of Public Administration.

The students were greeted with a warm welcome, and they were given an explanation of the governorate’s role in developing the infrastructure and enhancing the life of the local community. Where it was an opportunity for students to ask questions and discuss issues of concern to the governorate and ways to enhance education and culture in it with the generous cooperation of the deputy of the governorate, who provided valuable insights and valuable advice to students.

The visit of the Deputy Governor was unforgettable for the students, as they learned closely about the role of local leadership in achieving development and enhancing the lives of the local population. This visit positively affected the students’ awareness of the importance of leadership and political participation in community service.
