During a literary seminar, the book (Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar: Bury me at Cihan University) was announced
In an open literary gathering, held at Cihan University – Erbil, special ceremonies were held to announce and introduce the book (Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar: Bury me at Cihan University). On Wednesday, 1-6-2022, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, President of Cihan University – Erbil, Mrs. Mona Kahwaji, Secretary of the Parliament of Kurdistan, Secretary of the Union of Teachers in Kurdistan, Director General of Culture and Arts, writer and journalist (Sherzad Heini) and a large number of academics, writers, thinkers and journalists, an open literary ceremony was held in the campus of Cihan University – Erbil to announce the book (Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar: Bury me at Cihan University).
The symposium opened with a moment of respect for the souls of the martyrs. Later, Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities, gave a speech in which he welcomed the guests and spoke about the content of his book and its importance, stressing his support and encouragement to all professors, students and thinkers to write and publish their life experiences. He said I am glad that Kurdistan possesses many capabilities and skills, no less in importance comparing to the skills of young people in Japan, Europe and America, but it is important that we give them an opportunity to show their skills and abilities.
Concerning the book: Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar said: This book is a small part of my life experience, and I mentioned in this book that if I die, bury me at Cihan University because the university is the place of knowledge and because I wish to die in a place of a source of knowledge.Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cihan Universities, said that peoples are progressing only with knowledge, and I am glad that Cihan University has become today a place for the upbringing of thousands of talented young people in our society.Later, a short film was shown about the life and biography of Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajker, prepared by Cihan TV.In another part of the literary symposium, the writer (Shirzad Heni), who prepared and wrote the book (Dr. Nawzad Bagkar: Bury me at Cihan University), talked about how to prepare for the book, and said: In this work, I presented something new and different from my previous work. He said that most of my interviews with Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar was at Cihan University and I am glad that Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar had read the draft of the book twice before printing it.
Regarding the content of the book, the writer Sherzad Heni said: In this book, Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bagkar spoke about the most important moments of his life and talked about the importance of the city of Erbil, the neighborhoods of Erbil, Cihan University and a number of other important topics.
He said that this historical book of Erbil, in addition to its recording of documents, will be a historical source for researchers and specialists, especially those researching the history of Erbil. There will be an annual Bajker award given to people who provide services in different fields.
Later, the artist Maher Muhammad Amin talked about his memories, accompanied by his father, with the family of Haj Yahya, and presented a group of Kurdish songs that enriched the Kurdish seminar and added a distinguished literary and artistic atmosphere.At the conclusion of the literary symposium, Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajker and writer Sherzad Heni signed and distributed copies of the book to the attendees.
