On Thursday, October 22, 2026, third-stage students from the General Education Department/ELT at Cihan University–Erbil organized a breast cancer awareness event titled “Pink Ribbon Tree and Art Exhibition.” The event was held under the supervision of Lecturer Dashne Abdullah Saeed and officially inaugurated by the President of Cihan University–Erbil, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. AbdulSattar Karim Saeed, and several department heads.
During the event, participating students presented a range of artistic and interactive activities to promote breast cancer awareness:

- Muhammad Shukur Omer: Designed, constructed, and installed the central interactive feature, the “Pink Ribbon Tree,” and coordinated the event’s logistics and venue arrangements.
- Shano Ruzhdi Mohammed: Exhibited three drawings and two paintings focusing on health awareness. She also provided visitors with health information and explanations about breast cancer.
- Noor Suhel Tofiq and Emad Jbrael Saber: Designed and produced bilingual informational cards in English and Kurdish, featuring health guidelines and inspirational messages for attendees.
The central interactive feature, the “Pink Ribbon Tree,” invited university leaders, faculty members, and attendees to tie pink ribbons to the tree and attach personalized messages of support for people affected by breast cancer. The event concluded with visitors engaging with the student organizers and discussing the health-related messages and artistic concepts presented throughout the exhibition.
