Holding a Scientific and Technological Exhibition for the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering
On Thursday, April 14th, 2022, the Department of Informatics and Software Engineering held a scientific and technological exhibition with the participation of projects for all stages for the students of the department. The honorable President of the University, Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Dalawi, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Abdul Sattar, and a number of heads of engineering departments at Cihan University attended.
Where several important and large projects were presented, including locating devices by building a location system in a different style, determining the locations of veins in the body via infrared, building a smart home connected to the Internet and sensors to know the temperature, humidity, and protection, building mobile smart cars without a driver, building a smart city that relies on sensors and artificial intelligence to move cars without causing heavy traffic, building a smart lie detector that relies on heart rate, and many more.
The President of the University praised the students’ projects and the possibility of using them in reality to solve the problems that society suffers from in this period in a scientific and academic professional manner, and also praised the supervision of the Head of the Informatics and Software Engineering Department, Professor Adel Hussein Muhammad on these projects and the adoption of the students’ scientific ideas. He also praised the role of the respected professors of the department because of their influence and support for students’ projects and their efforts to achieve them.
