Holding an Award Ceremony for Top Students of Cihan University-Erbil
Cihan University-Erbil held an award ceremony for top students of all departments on September 25th, 2022. The president of Cihan University-Erbil, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, stated that the university strongly supports the students to develop their abilities and skills, as well as providing various opportunities for students at all stages to shape a bright future for themselves and their nation.
The president of Cihan University-Erbil, the vice presidents of the University, University Council, head of departments, lecturers, students and their families attended the event at the university Conference Hall. Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi delivered a speech at the ceremony. He said: “Today we are honored to meet with a group of beloved young people of Kurdistan, who represent Kurdistan’s students to affirm their nation that they exist, they are successful and they possess knowledge and wisdom”. He asserted that the students’ being the first, the second and the third at the level of the departments has a very important message for us, for students’ families and for the people of Kurdistan. It conveys students hardworking and their families diligence, as well as indicating their lecturers attentiveness who have consistently supported them to become a true example of science and students.
In another part of his speech, Dr. Amjad said “Cihan University-Erbil is a pioneer as ever, and the presence of such top students confirms this fact. Therefore, you should not quit continuing and gaining more success. You have to develop your abilities more. He continues “science is the only thing that no one can monopolize it and take science for themselves. It is for people and the development of society and the country, so you have to put it in the service of your people.”
The president of Cihan University-Erbil devoted the final part of his speech to the various achievements of the university at the local and international levels. He maintained that all the previous achievements of the university have made it different from other universities in Kurdistan Region and inn Iraq. To support his words, Dr Amjad mentioned the scientific achievements that have been achieved within the framework of the Erasmus+ program for students and lecturers. Along with employing and developing more technology, Prof. Dr. Amjad emphasized that the university will value the attainments and helps students and lecturers make more progress.
Following the university president’s speech, the ceremony of honoring the first, the second and the third top students of each stage of all departments for the academic year of 2021-2022 was conducted at Cihan University-Erbil.
