Holding the Fifth Scientific Conference for Outstanding Projects of Students of Cihan University-Erbil
As part of the scientific activities of Cihan University-Erbil to exhibit students’ abilities and skills, a conference on outstanding graduation projects was held for the fifth time at Cihan University-Erbil.
On Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, president of Cihan University-Erbil, vice presidents, lecturers, supervisors, graduates and students, the conference took place in the Conference Hall of the University. At the beginning, Prof. Dr. Amjad delivered a speech.
After welcoming the participants, the President of Cihan University-Erbil said: “Today we are honored to hold the fifth scientific conference of outstanding researches of graduates, said we are pleased that some of these researches have been published in high-level scientific journals”.
Regarding the conference, Professor Dr. Amjad stated that scientific committees inside and outside the university evaluated the projects and 50 graduation projects out of 350 were selected as exceptionally good projects of Cihan University-Erbil for the academic year 2021-2022. He added that it would be the first important step for the graduates of our university to pay attention to their career path in the future, especially to complete master’s and doctoral studies in the future. Besides studying and working on projects, Dr Amjad also asserted that students of all departments study communication skills to have a promising career in the future
In part of his speech, the President of Cihan University-Erbil talked about scientific research and said that research means finding a solution to a problem and problem does not mean trouble in its own sake but as a subject of research to develop a field of life. He also added “we are pleased that a number of participants who are now lecturers at Cihan University have completed their bachelor’s degrees at this University; in general, more than 400 graduates of our university have completed higher education (master’s and doctorate) and many other are currently in the process of studying.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi told the graduates: “You are the product of Cihan University-Erbil, lecturers, families and your efforts. At the same time, we are constantly trying to find job opportunities for other graduates in the Cihan Group of Companies, and we are in contact with companies and institutions for the same purpose”.
Then the agenda of the conference began and for this purpose through 6 panels the titles of excellent research and the names of researchers and research supervisors were displayed and their contents were presented by the graduates. The graduates were awarded the title of excellent projects of Cihan University-Erbil for the academic year 2021-2022. The graduates had found practical and satisfactory solutions to the problems facing different institutions in the Region. They have achieved it with modern academic methods and new mechanisms.
The scientific conference encompassed 18 departments of the University in which senior students graduated from in the academic year 2021-2022. It was hoped that the conference became an important stage in the lives of students to make them be familiar with their abilities and potentials which certainly affect significantly on the path of their future life and work.
At the end of the conference, awards and gifts of the Presidency of Cihan University-Erbil were distributed to 50 teams of graduats who were able to obtain the title of outstanding research projects of Cihan University-Erbil for the academic year 2021-2022.
