Human Rights Organization enhance its relations with Cihan University-Erbil
To enhance their relationship, a group of spontaneous human rights activists in Kurdistan Region of Iraq held a meeting with the president of Cihan University-Erbil to discuss increasing human rights in educational environments.
On Monday, January 10, 2022, professor Dr.Amjad Sabir Delawi, the president of Cihan University-Erbil had warmly welcomed the spontaneous human rights group, the meeting was honored by the presence of Dr.Abdul Sattar, the University’s vice president for administrative works and students affair. The distinguished guests were welcomed by the president of Cihan University who delivered a short speech on the importance of Universities to human rights. He highlighted the achievements that were accomplished in this regard so far. In addition, he noted that if society relies on its Universities, it has taken the right step towards progress.
In the other part of the meeting, Suleiman Mohsen Sandi, the director of human rights Announcements and Communications on the new achievements of their group, said that” in our new program, we have given significant importance to the promotion of human rights in Universities and academic settings.” He also mentioned, “We are looking for forming a group of human rights activists in Cihan University-Erbil for more cooperation.”
The honored speakers had outlined the future plans to employ the University’s ability to value the importance human rights.
