Insect festival

Despite the economic crises that our region pass on it, Over 100 students from both Cihan University and Salahaddin University participated in the Insect Festival at Cihan camps-Erbil on Wednesday 24 May 2017 Supervised by Dr.Wand K.Ali and  Mr. Sarwan W. Hamad ,with many activities, Inside the biology department, spread over the floor, were some 150 exhibits and displays ranging from entomological collection boxes of memorable students and posters, to an observation short movies of insects life cycle. The festival has been opened by cihans university president Dr. Fouad maulod shareef and the Head of Biology Department Dr. Ameena S. juma accompanied by the valuable quests and its worth to mention that  this festival is regarded as the first festival in whole Kurdistan universities related to insects and it`s important under the title of insects as a gate to biological science. A key feature of the Insect Festival was the insect collections and posters Competition for students in which the best collections were honored.
