Interactive Online Teaching and Learning
Within the activities of the Biomedical Department, College of Sciences, a workshop entitled “Teaching as Role Models” was held in the VIP hall of Cihan University-Erbil on Monday 12th, April 2021. First, the president of Cihan University, Prof. Dr. Amjad S. Al-Dalawi, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the role of interactive teaching in enhancing the students’ knowledge. Later, Lecturer Dr. Hasan Fahmi presented a seminar under the title “Interactive Online Teaching and Learning’.
Dr. Hasan Fahmi started his lecture with general information about online teaching and the most widely used applications, especially Moodle, which has been applied in Cihan University since 2019.
The head of the department, staff members, students, professors, researchers, and guests from Cihan University and other universities attended the workshop. Discussion and questions followed the session to enrich the topic with further information and experience.
It is worth mentioning that the topic of the seminar is very crucial, especially in the current circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing tendency towards the electronic learning. Furthermore, the topic is of great importance for teachers and students as it provides updated information about online teaching and Moodle system particularly for the junior lecturers.
The seminar was ended with a set of recommendations concerning the topic.
