Law Department Students Organize an Awareness Seminar on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Educational Process

On Monday, November 2, 2026, second- and third-year students from the Department of Law at Cihan University-Erbil, Ahmed Mustafa and Hawjin Mohsin, conducted a field visit to Khanzad Primary School for Boys under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Saman Hassan Ali.

The student delegation was welcomed by the school principal, Mr. Karwan Mohammad. During the visit, the students delivered an interactive awareness seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in the Educational Process”, focusing on two main areas.

In the first part, student Ahmed Mustafa provided a comprehensive introduction to the concept of artificial intelligence and its various applications. He highlighted its potential negative impacts and the risks associated with its irresponsible use in the academic field, particularly academic dishonesty and intellectual property infringement.

In the second part, student Hawjin Mohsin discussed the positive aspects of modern AI applications, explaining their vital role in improving learning methods, saving time and effort, and reducing financial costs. He also highlighted how these applications can contribute to improving students’ academic achievement.
