On Sunday, 25 October 2026, Rahand Goran, a second-year student from the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil, participated as a sports analyst in two live television programs broadcast by Kurdistan24 and Rudaw. Both programs were dedicated to discussing and analyzing the world-famous El Clásico match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In his first appearance, Rahand Goran was a guest on a sports program broadcast by Kurdistan24 and presented by Hakar Mohammed. In his second appearance, he joined a live program on Rudaw hosted by Saman Walatzhery.
During both programs, Rahand Goran, a Barcelona supporter and sports analyst, shared his views on both teams’ readiness and the possible outcomes of the match.
He highlighted Barcelona’s technical and tactical preparations, the team’s lineup and organization, and its potential strategies for responding to Real Madrid’s different lines of play. He also identified some of Real Madrid’s weaknesses and analyzed the opportunities Barcelona could exploit during the match.
The student also discussed various possibilities and scenarios that could unfold during the match. He expressed his belief that Barcelona’s physical, psychological, and tactical readiness would enable the team to perform strongly against Real Madrid and give it a good chance of winning.
Furthermore, he discussed the potential impact of Barcelona’s previous results, particularly its defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League. He explained that this loss would not necessarily undermine the morale or performance of Barcelona’s players in El Clásico. He noted that the team had previously defeated Real Madrid despite experiencing disappointing results in earlier matches.
The participation of Media Department students in live television programs with large audiences provides valuable opportunities to develop their communication, analytical, and public-speaking skills while strengthening their confidence in front of cameras and audiences. Such appearances also enable students to apply the knowledge and skills they acquire during their academic studies in real-world media settings and gain practical experience in broadcasting and television discussions.
