Participants of the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce Training Course Conclude Visit to the Kurdistan Region with a Cultural Tour

On Thursday, 22 October 2026, the specialized training course in financial and accounting disciplines for directors and staff of the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce concluded at Cihan University–Erbil.

During the closing ceremony, Professor Dr. Amjad Saber Al-Delawi, President of Cihan University–Erbil, presented certificates of participation to the trainees.

To familiarize the delegation with the culture and natural heritage of the Kurdistan Region, and in accordance with the directives of the President of Cihan University–Erbil, the Headships of the Departments of Business Administration and Accounting organized a cultural and tourism field trip to the Shaqlawa resort area for the course participants.

The trip was supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Qusay Hameed Al-Salami and Assistant Lecturer Dr. Muslim Najib Zaidan. During the excursion, the officials from the Iraqi Ministry of Commerce experienced the region’s cultural heritage, renowned hospitality, and natural landscapes, particularly in Shaqlawa.

At the end of their visit, the participants expressed their gratitude to the Presidency of Cihan University–Erbil and the course supervisors for their coordination, hospitality, and effective management of the program throughout their stay.
