Media Department Students Present a Seminar on the Importance of Teamwork and Cooperation at Mawlawi Primary School
On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, a group of second-year students from the Media Department at Cihan University–Erbil organized a seminar entitled “Teamwork and Cooperation” for seventh- and eighth-grade pupils at Mawlawi Primary School under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Dlan Ismail Mawlood. At the beginning of the activity, Mr. Hogir Latif Ali, Principal of Mawlawi Primary School, received the university students.
Seminar Content: Teamwork and Cooperation
During the first part of the seminar, student Mohammed Hussein Omar discussed the importance of teamwork and cooperation, explaining that working as a team is one of the key factors in achieving success in education and daily life. He emphasized that working together enables individuals to exchange ideas and opinions, distribute tasks, and achieve common goals through mutual cooperation.
He also explained that organizing a team and working within a shared framework help individuals manage their time effectively and avoid wasting time and effort. When each team member has specific responsibilities and is committed to fulfilling them, tasks can be completed more efficiently and systematically. Furthermore, he emphasized that teamwork involves more than simply bringing people together; it requires cooperation, active listening, respect for different opinions, and a sense of shared responsibility. Each member should contribute to the team’s efforts and support others whenever necessary.
The Importance of Teamwork and Time Management
In the next part of the seminar, Mohammed Hussein highlighted the benefits of teamwork, including effective time management, task organization, the exchange of ideas and opinions, and mutual support in achieving common goals. He also explained that assigning tasks according to team members’ abilities and clearly defining responsibilities help teams complete their work more quickly and efficiently.
He further noted that when each member fulfills their assigned responsibilities and cooperates with others, the team can achieve better results in less time. In addition, cooperation and the exchange of ideas make problem-solving easier and help build stronger relationships among team members.
During the final part of the seminar, students Ilham Najat Abdulqadir and Farhad Nashat Khalil participated in discussions and shared their ideas and opinions. The pupils were also given the opportunity to ask questions and express their views, encouraging active participation and enhancing their understanding of the importance of teamwork and cooperation.
Finally, the administration of Mawlawi Primary School expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Media Department students at Cihan University–Erbil for organizing the seminar and raising pupils’ awareness of the importance of teamwork and cooperation.
