Medical Biochemical Analysis Department Students Conduct Humanitarian Visit to Xurani Primary School
On Monday, February 9, 2026, a group of students from the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis—Saleh Shwan, Dalia Dler, and Fatima Naif—carried out a humanitarian visit to Xurani Primary School under the supervision of their department head, Assistant Lecturer Hawri Fatih.
The students were warmly received by the school principal, Mr. Abdulkhaleq Khider Hamad, who expressed his appreciation for the students’ initiative and their concern for the well-being of schoolchildren.
During the visit, the students distributed socks, gloves, and winter hats to the pupils as a supportive gesture aimed at protecting children from the cold winter weather. The activity focused on addressing basic needs and providing comfort to students during the low-temperature season, particularly younger pupils who are more vulnerable to cold-related health issues.
The students personally handed out the winter clothing items and interacted with the children, creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere. This visit reflected the students’ strong sense of social responsibility and their commitment to community service beyond academic activities.
This humanitarian initiative highlights the role of the Department of Medical Biochemical Analysis in encouraging students to engage in volunteer work and contribute positively to society. Such activities strengthen the connection between the university and the local community while promoting values of empathy, cooperation, and public service among students.
